1. 100% User Ownership & Copyright
You retain exclusive, 100% copyright and intellectual property rights to all screenplays, outlines, character names, dialogue, treatments, and ideas created in, edited in, or imported into Screenwriting by Stukes. The Stukes Company, Julius Stukes Jr., and associated parties claim zero ownership, rights, or license over your creative material.
2. Privacy & Zero-AI Training Commitment
This software operates on a 100% client-side architecture. All screenplays, auto-saved revisions, local snapshots, and uploaded documents (.pdf, .fountain, .fdx, .trelby) remain stored exclusively on your device (in browser LocalStorage and IndexedDB). Your scripts are never transmitted to any cloud servers, never read by third parties, and will NEVER be harvested or used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
3. Hollywood Independent Creation & "No Pitch" Shield
The Stukes Company and Julius Stukes Jr. actively develop, produce, write, and finance original motion pictures, television, and narrative intellectual property. Use of this software does not constitute a submission, disclosure, pitch, or confidential relationship between you and The Stukes Company or Julius Stukes Jr. You acknowledge that The Stukes Company may concurrently develop or produce projects that contain similar concepts, tropes, genres, or themes independently and without access to your work, and using this software waives any claims based on independent creation.
4. "AS-IS" Software Warranty & Limitation of Liability
SCREENWRITING BY STUKES IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE STUKES COMPANY, JULIUS STUKES JR., DEVELOPERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOSS OF SCRIPT DATA, BROWSER STORAGE EVICTION, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS APPLICATION.
Writers are strongly advised to regularly export and maintain external backups of their scripts (.trelby, .fountain, .fdx, .pdf) to local storage or external drives.

Any artist references (including Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar) or brand names are used in good faith for cultural, descriptive, and format compatibility purposes and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
6. Commitment to Free Creative Software
Screenwriting by Stukes is provided free to the storytelling community by The Stukes Company. This product will always be free and will never contain advertisements (unless for Beyoncé or Kendrick Lamar).
